Academic certificate & transcript translation (Chinese ⇄ English)

Certified translations of degrees, transcripts, diplomas and professional qualifications — for universities, employers and licensing bodies in China, Sri Lanka and beyond.

What "sworn" means: the translation is certified with the official stamp, signature and Ministry of Justice registration number (2020/CE/CL/042) of a sworn translator — the form of certified translation used for courts, government departments, embassy submissions and MFA attestation in Sri Lanka.

When you need this

Academic documents demand terminological accuracy — subject names, grading schemes, credit systems and institutional titles must be rendered consistently, and professional-body transcripts (such as chartered accountancy records) come with their own conventions. Transcripts are formatted as tables mirroring the original, so registrars can match every subject and grade.

What the certified translation includes

Note on O/L and A/L certificates: under Sri Lankan practice, G.C.E. O/L and A/L examination certificates are translated through the Department of Examinations rather than by sworn translators. All other academic documents — degrees, transcripts, diplomas, professional qualifications — are handled here. If you're unsure which category your document falls into, just ask.

How to order

  1. Send a clear photo or scan of the document by WhatsApp or email. Include the destination (which country, which authority) and your deadline.
  2. Approve the fixed quote and delivery date, usually sent within a few hours.
  3. Review — you receive a draft for checking names and dates against your passport or NIC spelling before certification.
  4. Receive the certified translation: stamped, signed hard copy by courier anywhere in Sri Lanka, and/or certified PDF by email — deliverable worldwide, including to China.

Frequently asked

Do you translate a full set of documents at a package rate?

Yes — study and employment applications usually involve several documents (degree, transcript, letters, sometimes birth certificate and police clearance). Send the full set and you'll receive a single package quote and one consistent delivery date.

Will terminology match what the Chinese university expects?

Institution names, degree titles and grading schemes are rendered using the standard equivalents Chinese institutions use, and any institution-specific preference you've been given (for example by an admissions office) is followed. You review the draft before certification.

Can you certify a translation of a document issued electronically?

Yes — electronically issued transcripts and certificates are translated from the PDF you provide, with the source document attached to the certification as usual.
